Head of Software Infrastructure (f/m)

Your responsibilities:

• Lead a software R&D organization to high agility and performance by empowering the individuals to ensure sustainable results
• Set organizational guidelines and frames for establishing development operation teams and supporting functions for continuous integration and delivery
• Provide guidance for the technical teams by providing solutions, recommendations with the goal to increase time to market and ensuring quality standards
• Lead development programs for people within our global organization and hiring the best candidates for supporting our growth
• Work in strong cooperation with different interdisciplinary teams as well as product management, product owners and business field leaders
• Enforce collaboration as a team across different teams and locations within a global network of development sites

 Your profile:

• Sc. or Ph.D. degree in the field of software engineering or related disciplines
• Experience in the management and leadership (10 years+) in a high-technology position in the software industry or strong related fields
• Leading global teams in a complex environment
• Strong experience in architecting analytical applications in cloud environment (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform and Openstack)
• Advanced experience with approaches like Microservices infrastructure and architecture, Kubernetes, RESTfull services, Serverless computing
• Experience in several technologies in the Big Data ecosystem (SQL, NoSQL, database design, ETL, Talend, Hadoop, Hortonworks, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Spark, HBase, Flume, Mahout, Scoop, Kafka and other)
